In a previous Biofeedback article, Hagedorn (2014) introduced the problem of infection and contagion in
clinical biofeedback practice and suggested broad guidelines for mitigating infection risk in biofeedback and neurofeedback practice. The present article was developed by a team of practitioners and a biomedical engineer to provide more specific detail on care, cleaning, and aseptic techniques in biofeedback and neurofeedback.
