Description: The intention of this workshop is to present the decision-making processes for initially treating patients and how, when and why adjustments in approaches and protocols are made. This will be done through examples of several patients struggling with anxiety as well as organized content. Information will be shared about how to choose what type of neurofeedback approach to initially start with and when to supplement, change or start with other approaches including heart rate variability training, entrainment, and some specific psychotherapeutic tactics.  

Cases will include individual suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma and generalized anxiety.  

What can I expect to learn?

• Participants will increase their understanding as to why some anxiety disorders are treated more effectively with some approaches vs. others.
• Participants will increase their knowledge as to how to develop an initial treatment protocol.
• Participants will increase their knowledge as to how to monitor progress and modify treatment protocols.
• Participants will have a more comprehensive understanding of the utilization of home practices that maximize treatment outcomes for anxiety patients.
